Dear All,

The slide in the EUR and GBP currencies this spring seems to reflect a more persistent shift in the relative economic growth rate (or lack of it) in Europe compared to the US, and we are forced to adjust our price list in Europe. This has resulted in a price increase for the SC20 in GBP, but fortunately not in EUR at this point in time.

This has also resulted in price increases for the optional equipment in both GBP and EUR.

Concerning the Flexiteek deck, we have now produced the first two boats with this deck, and we have two more in early stages of production. It is safe to say that this deck looks far more beautiful than we could have ever hoped for, with curved planks, king planks and white caulking, all recessed completely into the deck. Furthermore, the goal of producing a teak deck version with the same weight of the already extremely light boat proved more difficult than originally estimated, because we had to use more expensive carbon fiber in both the deck and the hull to compensate for the weight of the Flexiteek, while maintaining the same strength of the structure. This has resulted in an overall cost increase for the Flexiteek deck of USD 1,000 which we have reflected in the new price list.

We always wish to be fair to potential new owners who are currently considering to purchase a Scandinavian Cruiser 20, so we will delay the effective date of the new prices until July 1, 2010.

Even after the new prices come into effect, the Scandinavian Cruiser 20 is still a very affordable and unique boat.

Please announce the new prices to all your potential SC 20 customers.
